Google Analytics 4 for Better Insights

Google Analytics 4 for Better Insights

Still, using the old version of Google Analytics or commonly known as Universal Analytics (UA)? Currently, Google has made changes with the new version namely Google Analytics 4 or GA4. Why is there this new version? were previous versions inaccurate or difficult to use? it turns out that from several sources and our experience, google analytics 4 has major differences compared to Universal Analytics, namely:

1. On Google Analytics 4 visits that enter the website (traffic) read the events (activity) carried out by the user while on our website, unlike before on Universal Analytics. Traffic is only read and calculated by the number of visits (sessions) without reading in detail the event (what is done) by the user while on the website.

2. With GA 4, reports can be customized more flexibly according to our needs as users. In contrast to before when the report’s appearance was fixed and more maximized by using filters and exports for report customization needs.

3. Monitor all properties with one tracking code, with GA4 we can use one tracking code for all of our properties (websites, Android apps, Ios Apps, etc.) so we can see the same user activity on all of our properties.

Why Should You Use Google Analytics Now?

1. Based on information from Google here, Universal Analytics will stop receiving data and will not continue its use by Google on July 1, 2023.

2. GA4 can be installed since October 16, 2020, and does not retrieve data from universal analytics, so the faster we use GA4, the more data we can store for the future.

3. Event tracking and goals tracking are easier to set and combine with Google Ads for maximum advertising results. You can import goals from GA4 to your Google Ads advertising dashboard so that Google Ads can better understand the purposes of the ads and the ads run according to the goals set.

A significant advantage in tracking website user data. Can track users anonymously, provide better insights, and be able to analyze more than one platform. Can integrate data from mobile and web applications, and present information with a user-friendly dashboard. Apart from that, GA4 also makes it possible to measure conversions more accurately and provide more detailed information about user behavior on websites. This makes it possible to take better decisions in improving the user experience on the website.
