Actor Robert Downey Jr. now entering the world of writing by being involved in making a book about the urgency of sorting out food ingredients that are more environmentally friendly.
Deadline reported on Tuesday (5/4) United States time, the first non-fiction book from RDJ is based on the actor’s experience playing Iron Man.
The book, which will be released by Blackstone Publishing, will be titled Cool Food: Erasing Your Carbon Footprint One Bite at Time in collaboration with Thomas Kostigen.
“The best future for global food security must be free from long processes, short diets, or excessive shame,” said Robert Downey Jr. in his statement.
“This may be a change of perspective that can be used to find many general solutions,” he continued.
The interest of Robert Downey Jr. in The environment has been seen since 2019. At that time, RDJ founded a non-profit organization called The Footprint Coalition that focused on sustainable technology.
Meanwhile, Kostingen is known to have written about climate change for the last two decades.
On the other hand, after being no longer involved in various Marvel films, Robert Downey Jr. is still busy with several cinematic projects, one of the most recent is the Oppenheimer biopic.
In the film, the name Robert Downey Jr. was one of the actors involved with Matt Damon, Kenneth Branagh, Florence Pugh, and Rami Malek.
Oppenheimer’s film production reportedly has been going on since early March. There are three locations chosen as shooting locations, namely New Mexico, California, and New Jersey.
Oppenheimer is adapted from the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.
The book is a biography of the figure of J. Robert Oppenheimer and won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize.
