Ultimate Member

Ultimate Member also has a drag and drop form builder feature which is very useful in creating custom forms.

Then, among all the plugins above, which one is worth choosing?

All of them are feasible, but you need to consider the purpose of creating the registration form first. If it is to attract new users to your website, use Ultimate Member. But if you want a registration form for something generic then use WPForms. We purposely suggest that because, in terms of form design, WPForms is better than Contact Form 7.

Tutorial on Creating an Online Registration Form

After choosing the right plugin, of course, you should try it to create a form. As we suggested earlier, in this tutorial on creating a form in WordPress we will be using WPForms. Here are some steps in creating an online registration form with WPForms.

Install WPForms First

The first thing you need to do is of course install the WPForms plugin. You can find it in the plugin directory. After logging into the dashboard find the Plugin menu > Add New, then do a plugin search with the keyword “WPForms” then you will find a plugin called Contact Form by WPForms – Drag & Drop Form Builder for WordPress. Install and activate the plugin.

Create a New Form

Create a new form with WPForms. Find the WPForms menu on the left of your dashboard, WPForms > Add New. After that, you will be taken to a new page where you can fill in the title of the form you want to create. 

Fill in the title of the form, for example, “Registration Form”. Select “ Blank Form ” then “ Create a Blank Form ” at the bottom of the column heading.

After that, it’s time to create a form with the drag & drop feature. Determine the data you need. To create a registration form, some of the data below seems suitable to be an example:

• Full name
• Place and date of birth
• E-mail
• Residence address
• Mobile phone number

Choose a field that matches the data entered above. For example, [Name] uses the “Name” field, [Place & Date of Birth] and [Domicile Address] use the “Single Line Text” field. [Email] with the “Email” field and [Mobile Number] with the “Number” field. Drag and arrange the fields on the right.

After all the fields are entered, you can click and change the details of the fields one by one. Starting from “Name” which is changed to “Name” and so are other fields. How to Check Forms or Entry Forms

Maybe you’re also wondering, where does the form field go if the user sends it. On WPForms regular or lite, the entry of the form cannot be seen in the WordPress dashboard, you need to check the email you registered as your WordPress admin email. Look in the inbox, if it’s not there, check the spam box. So make sure the email you registered on the admin account is active.
